The 4th of July Committee needs you!
Based on the popularity of last year's festivities, the Bring Back the 4th Committee has planned a bigger and better celebration for this year. Plans call for a 3-day event spanning July 3, 4 & 5th, complete with a carnival and fireworks!
In order to make this a success, the committee needs your help. Volunteers are needed in a number of areas, such as: Fundraising, Entertainment, Vendors & Infrastructure. Whether you can give just a few hours, want to become a full-blown committee member, or anything in between, your participation is greatly needed.

The NR 4th of July Committee now has an account at NE Redemption Center for all of your returnable bottles & cans. Just mention our name when dropping them off and the money will be applied to our account to be used to help "Bring Back the 4th"

Bring Back the Fun — Bring Back the 4th!
Remember the fun of a North Reading Fourth of July? The carnival…the music…the food (eating too much cotton candy or fried dough!) …and of course, fantastic fireworks to cap it all off! Let's bring back that fun!
A group of enthusiastic citizens have banded together to revive what had been considered one of the best celebrations in this area. Our goal is a three-day event at Ipswich River Park that will have all the excitement, all the events —all the FUN of a traditional 4th of July celebration:
• Food, beverages, crafts and more
• Sports-related activities
• Spectacular carnival
• Attractions for kids
• Plenty of live entertainment — and more!
Ending, of course, with a spectacular fireworks display produced by North Reading's own Warren Pearce!
To do this right has a price tag of about $40,000. The Committee has held a number of fundraising events over the past several months, but we are still well short of our goal. To make this a reality, we need the financial support of YOU — North Reading's wonderful citizens and businesses — to achieve our goal and give this town the fabulous Fourth of July celebration it deserves!
